Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get and love, love is like oxygen, love lifts us up where we belong, all you need is love, or at least that’s what they say in movies. There’s so much beauty in the films… Sometimes I feel like I’m seeing it all at once, and it’s too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that’s about to burst… And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can’t feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of the experience in the cinema.
Adapted from: Forrest Gump (R. Zemeckis, 1994),
Moulin Rouge (B. Luhrmann, 2001), American Beauty (S. Mendes, 1999)

So I'm guessing that after you've read this, you'll understand why I went to film school where I studied multimedia, sound and film editing. And after that was done, why I enrolled in a master program dealing with film studies. Why I occasionally write about films and media, and even do some research. That is, when I'm not on a film set or in an editing suite. My work is always different, always showing me a new side of film-making, always getting me to fall in love with movies all over again.

For Breaking Ground, I like to think I am helping student films get the visibility they deserve, through the promotion of our projects. Projects which also help film-making students connect and get inspired. I've been involved with the organization since the fall of 2013, managing our social media channels, covering the PR department and, since the spring of 2015, coordination the development of our new platform.
